3.7 million Black-owned businesses. $249 billion in annual receipts. $190 billion in annual financing gap. DBGL is the platform built to close that gap — through capital access, market connections, government procurement, and intercontinental trade with Africa.

The Opportunity
  • AfCFTA: $3.4T combined African GDP
  • $700B federal procurement — $35B in set-asides
  • Black consumer spending: $1.4T annually
  • Diaspora remittances to Africa: $90B+/yr
  • African e-commerce growth: 25% annually

The Moment Is Now

Black Americans hold $1.4 trillion in annual consumer spending power — more than the GDP of most countries. Yet that wealth circulates in the Black community for an average of 6 hours before leaving, compared to 28 days in white communities and months in Asian and Jewish communities. The difference is not spending behavior. It is the absence of a functional Black business infrastructure.

DBGL exists to build that infrastructure. Not through charity or awareness campaigns — but through direct business services, capital navigation, market access, and the construction of intercontinental economic ties between US Black business and the African continent.

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) represents 1.4 billion consumers and $3.4 trillion in combined GDP. US Black businesses have a cultural, historical, and strategic claim to that market. DBGL is the operational bridge.

The Capital Gap
  • Black founders receive <2% of US venture capital
  • Black-owned firms denied bank loans at 2.7x the rate of white firms
  • Average Black business loan: $149K vs $310K for white-owned
  • Only 4% of Black-owned firms have 10+ employees
  • $14,000 median wealth gap: Black vs white Americans

Africa Connection

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) — fully ratified and operational — creates the world’s largest free trade zone by country count: 54 nations, 1.4 billion consumers, $3.4 trillion in combined GDP. The agreement eliminates tariffs on 97% of goods over a 10-year phase-in, creating the conditions for unprecedented intra-African and diaspora trade.

DBGL is building the operational bridge between US Black business and the African market — through partner matching, legal entity setup, export documentation, AGOA utilization, and diaspora investment facilitation. Our relationship with the Billionaires.Africa network provides direct access to Africa’s leading business and investment community.
